Born 1962 in Hamilton, Canada. Lives and works in Berlin and Meaford, Canada
Kikauka’s art often took root in the countless niches that were available in post-Wall Berlin during the 90s, so it was virtually forced to be mobile. It’s no coincidence that her contribution to the QUOBO exhibition, »Camp Cornucopia. Someone else’s vacation«, is a tent that is liveable but can be quickly taken apart. The title refers to the horn of plenty in Greek mythology. Slides of vacations projected on the skin of the tent indicate mobility, while the »Funny Farm« principle takes shape inside.
